That's the Senpai I Love (そんな
Summary[]
Rentarou asks Kusuri why she’s hiding in the cleaning cabinet. She tells him that Nano saw her going into the chem lab and started chasing her, realising that she is an ally to Rentarou. Kusuri suggests a plan that involves Rentarou distracting Nano whilst she runs to the lab, but he shoots it down saying that it’s too obvious and that’s no different to just telling Nano that Kusuri is hiding in the cabinet. She begins to cry because she always ends up causing trouble for others because she gets so caught up in her drugs. She claims that anyone else would be fine but if Rentarou were to start hating her, she’d hate herself for it. For this reason she states that she will quit developing drugs, leaving Rentarou speechless.
Kusuri suddenly states that everything will be fine, as she always carries an emergency dose of the “neutralization drug” on her at all times. Rentarou’s sigh in relief soon turns to panic when she begins to drink the drug herself, resulting in him knocking the drug out of her hand and onto the floor. Kusuri questions his actions, but he reflects the question back onto her, saying that Nano could have taken the drug, an act that Kusuri didn’t consider. Kusuri changes into her older form and explains her plan to him. Nano is unaware of the older Kusuri so she plans to make the drug in her older form, carrying some vinyl rope with her to immobilize Nano beforehand.
Kusuri attempts to enact the plan but fails to do so because she gives herself away by saying her name, resulting in her being tied up instead of Nano. Rentarou begins to panic again but comes up with an idea after seeing the smashed drug on the floor. He sprints out of the cleaning cabinet and down the corridor away from the chem lab, with Nano hot at his heels after she notices him. The two end up in a storage room, where Rentarou slumps to floor out of breath. Nano straddles him and begins to kiss him. After some time, Kusuri calls Nano’s name, causing her to turn and face her. A dose of the “neutralization drug” is shoved into her mouth and she passes out into Rentarou’s arms. Kusuri asks Rentarou if this is all a part of his plan, but he denies it saying that it was more of a gamble then a plan. He led Nano away from the chem lab and kept her occupied so Kusuri could revert back to her small form, allowing her to escape the rope and make the drug. The two, with Nano in hand, leave the storage room and give the drug to the other girlfriends.
The four girls wake up in the infirmary with their memories fully intact of their time as zombies. Hakari goes to apologise to Rentarou, but after remembering how she and Karane were kissing as zombies, pretends not to remember, insisting Karane that she also doesn’t remember. Karane attempts to correct her, saying that she does remember, but also begins to deny remembering the events that happened after she recalls their kissing session. Kusuri apologises to the girls with tears in her eyes. Rentarou tells her that despite the fact that her drugs were the cause of their situation, it was also her drugs that reverted them back to normal. She tries to talk back but Rentarou interrupts her by saying to her that no matter how big of a problem her drugs cause, he’ll take care of the issues alongside her. He firmly states that she shouldn’t quit developing the drugs she loves so much because he loves the Kusuri who’s truly devoted to what she loves. With the tears still in her eyes, Kusuri jumps into Rentarou’s arms and gives him a kiss, firmly stating that she both loves him and drugs.
