Line Survival (
Summary[]
The girlfriend who loves food and the girlfriend who loves groping collide on their way to satisfy their desires.
One morning at 5:00AM, Kurumi prepares to enter the line for a famed daifuku: the shop had developed a world famous "ultimate fluffy daifuku" and it has become so wanted that a huge line usually emerges at the shop and line sentries are set alongside the line to stop any quarrelling and prevent anyone from leaving aside going to the bathroom. However as Kurumi enters the line, she sees Momiji; the groper lets Kurumi stand ahead of her while stating she's there so can (literally) "get her hands" on the Ultimate Fluffy Daifuku. The duo decide to pass the time playing "Shiritori", but the game gets rather awkward when Momiji keeps naming food on her turn, making Kurumi hungrier. They switch over to rock-paper-scissors as two people in front of them prattle on until they suddenly collapse, leading to the sentries to drag them out for dropping out. The two realize that their talking used up all their energy leading to them becoming exhausted and thus losing the means to stay in the line, thus making them see how much this is a survival course.
The sun beats down as the day continues on, and Kurumi realizes she only brought food and no water for the line as Momiji drinks from a bottle of juice she brought. Momiji offers it to her classmate but Kurumi tells her she needs every drop and that it's unsanitary to share a bottle without a cup; but Momiji is OK with her drinking from it and the hungry girl gulps it down. As the line continues Kurumi works her way to her last Caloriemate wafer but hears Momiji's grumbling stomach, splitting her wafer as her friend did prior.
The elements continue to beat down on the participants, some having issue with the sun, others seeing mirages and dropping out. Soon it begins to rain but it becomes a heavy downpour no one can stand in or see through, leading to more line disruptions and removals! Momiji worries that with how hard it is to see, it's impossible to keep to the line and the possibility of dropping out, but Kurumi states "she can smell the daifuku so well that she should stick with her", which she does by grabbing onto her body making Kurumi upset.
As the rain subsides, Kurumi begins to feel the affects of the lack of food, drink and the impact of the elements on her body. Her legs prepare to collapse, but Momiji suddenly gropes them, telling her to hold out a little while longer; Kurumi tells her to stop or she'll expend all her energy, but Momiji says she is gaining "Gropergy" (Groping Energy) and that if it weren't for Kurumi's help, she wouldn't have made it this far and would be satisfied if Kurumi got there without her. Kurumi forces Momiji's hands onto her chest, telling her that both of them have to keep holding out as Momiji takes pleasure in caressing her bosom despite Kurumi's struggle to deal with it.
Eventually, Kurumi and Momiji make it to the front of the line, but there is only one "Ultimate Fluffy Daifuku" left; with this the final one, anyone who doesn't get it will have to stay in the line for tomorrow's stock. Momiji tells Kurumi to take it but Kurumi said she took Momiji's place in line, the two arguing about who deserves it more and whether Kurumi should eat it or Momiji should grope it. However without warning, the owner of the daifuku stand tells them to stop it, telling both of them that the desire for good and competition wears away at people creating nothing but strife and anger, and feels ashamed he had to bring in the line sentries to quell the issues created just to pursue his Ultimate Fluffy Daifuku. However seeing the generosity and sharing of the duo in the line has made him decide to give them a special reward: The Big Bang Ultimate Fluffy Daifuku, a massive Daifuku big enough for both Kurumi and Momiji! The duo continue to fight over who should have it first, but the owner cries about the continued strife it brings making them realize they need to partake in it together since this is more valuable than something they achieved alone.
Holding their hands together, both Kurumi and Momiji dig in and find their own personal bliss.
