Summary[]

Today, our cast of seven is here at the Mugen Shrine on a festival date. Mugen means "infinite", by the way. Unfortunately, the rest of fanily was either busy or had other things come up.

Rentarou and a group of girls, including Iku, Rin, Suu, Shizuka, Kusuri and Matsuri head to the "Mugen Shrine" to partake in it's local festival, Matsuri even dressing up in a yukata over her typical Happi Coat. Kusuri immediately goes after some shaved ice, mixing the syrups like they're drugs creating an utter mess, but she states "ugly ice is the best medicine", the two enjoying it. Soon after, Matsuri sees Rin at a shooting gallery, but she's having problems since handling a real rifle is harder than one in a video game. Matsuri helps her and Rin tells her to shoot a doll in the head, the festival girl doing so with ease. Matsuri soon sees Shizuka craving cotton candy and treats her, but the treat is too big for her making the festival girl and small girl eat it together. Matsuri soon helps Iku with a pitching game throwing a ball so well that Iku tells her to throw it "at her" next time. As Kusuri realizes she's running low on money, Matsuri advises her to budget by looking at the prices, Suu joining in happily with the various costs and showing her love of numbers in the process, surprising the festival girl on how she's memorized all of the costs.

As she spends a moment to herself, Matsuri contemplates how much she loves festivals and begins to wish that it could go on forever. She's soon approached by a strange male with a halo, wings and a long braid who offers that "he can see her wish granted". Matsuri is shocked by this being and asks who he is (even though her shouts hid it), stating he's a "God of Infinity", the spirit of the Mugen Shrine and offers to let the festival continue on in infinity as Matsuri desires, which she surprisingly takes him up on.

The festival soon continues as Rentarou and the girls continue to enjoy themselves; Matsuri realizes that this "God" has granted her wish and they've been at this festival for days without end and with infinite money to burn! Matsuri is surprised by Suu's nature about ignoring the costs and blatantly talking about their infinite funds, but Suu states that she doesn't care about numbers, only festivals. Matsuri soon sees that Kusuri's shaved ice isn't as ugly as it was prior and Kusuri likewise states that she doesn't care about drugs, only festivals. Matsuri offers Iku to do some baseball practice but she only cares about festivals, same Rin with festivals over violins and violence and Shizuka over books! Matsuri blurts out that festivals may be great but they shouldn't scoff as the things they love, wondering what happened to all of them! All of them stare and smile at them with closed eyes and blank faces, wondering what's wrong with Matsuri and to just keep enjoying the festival!

Matsuri wonders what has happened and runs back to the God of Infinity calling out how strange everyone is acting, but the God states "if they acted any other way, they couldn't have infinite fun at an infinite festival! Matsuri tells him to put them back to normal, but the God shrieks that "if the festival ended, it wouldn't be infinite, there is no end to infinity!" Matsuri is frightened as the God proclaims her "infinite festival" was a great idea and that all things should aspire to infinity, shocking her as she breaks down crying having lost her friends for the sake of her own selfish act.

However without warning, Rentarou, still trapped in his oblivious form, approaches the God of Infinity saying he will kill the God of Infinity. The God is shocked he is defying him, that it's impossible to do stating if he had the means to do so, the pain would rip him apart and making him wonder how a mere human can defy the power of a God! Rentarou states he doesn't care because he is Matsuri's boyfriend and if his girlfriend cries, he'll be there for her. Shocked by what Rentarou is doing, the God of Infinity multiplies the power of Infinity by ten to force Rentarou back to the festival, but his head turns around as his face becomes demonic, yelling he'll kill the God of Infinity and his shrine will burn, forcing the God into submission and freeing Matsuri and everyone from the Infinity Festival.

As they come to, the other girls awaken realizing the festival has ended, noticing something weird happened while they were out as they feel regret over how they acted. As Matsuri and Rentarou return, Matsuri apologizes about making the wish to the God of Infinity; she states she knew they loved all sorts of things other than festivals, but she also thinks festivals should make people smile and all her wish did was hurt them, making her wish she wasn't a festival lover. The girls tell Matsuri to not look down on herself and Rin states Matsuri knew how much they cared about the things they love and that they love Matsuri for her love of festivals likewise, Matsuri breaking down and all the girls hugging after the traumatic circumstance.

Elsewhere, the Love God reads about the God of Infinity's move and merely states "some God are such troublemakers" as the narration box tells him to shut up considering what he's done.
