The Girl That Slipped Right into Rentarou's Family (
Summary[]
A synopsis of the synopsis of last time: We're at 27 girlfriends. Are we about to be at 28, or...?
Previously, a strange girl with bunny-ear hair had blended in to the Rentarou Family, freaking out both Eira and even Himeka in the process, who states that "she live and breathes abnormally". Rentarou tells everyone to remain calm and states as long as she means no harm to his girlfriends, he'll let her leave. The girl introduces herself as Shiina Usami, also known as "Usa-Chan" from class 2-6 of Ohananomitsu High School; upon introduction, Rentarou ultimately "zings" with her while others are confused by Usa-chan still; Tama realizes that the girl is a 2nd year like Mimimi, but the beauty states she's never met her before now. As Karane asks bluntly, Usa-chan states that if she pretended like she belonged with them, no one would figure her out (despite everyone in the Family realizing she didn't belong last chapter). Usa-chan reveals she's prone to being lonely, under the belief that loneliness makes her feel like she's going to die, to the point that she thinks social isolation will be the death of her, to the point she can't eat lunch or even go to the bathroom alone and that doing sports by herself like figure skating alone in a huge rink makes her fearful! Mai wonders if Usa-chan's problem really is that bad, but the bunny-eared girl states she has "Reverse Tryptophobia"; that instead of feeling fear seeing clusters of items together like barnacles or acorns, she fears seeing an object surrounded by empty space, preferring to buy as many items as possible so they can be densely packed together.
Usa-chan states she wants to have friends but when she does, she gets so clingy that it pushes them away. However one day she saw the "Rentarou Family" and how tightly packed and clingy they were, making her feel jealous and wanting to be part of it all while watching and learning about them and their relationship with Rentarou; at first she was astonished, but Usa-chan saw happy they all were and there was more joy than what one would have in a monogamous relationship; and while she can't speak for other people, she sees it as "the most beautiful kind of love in the world", making them all feel her. After explaining herself, Usa-chan asks to go out with Rentarou and join the family. Rentarou begins to respond, but Usa-chan thinks that this is going to be a rejection, stating she's having "death by desolation" as she runs as quick as a hare off the roof!
Rentarou pursues Usa-chan, through the school and eventually to Sukisugi station towards a train; Rentarou doesn't know which train she went onto until he saw that there is a "woman-only car" and wonders if that's where she is. Meanwhile, Usa-chan continues to feel the desolation as her tears well up and she fears she is about to lose it until Rentarou finally finds her; it turns out that with how much space there is in a woman-only car, Rentarou figured Usa-chan would avoid it to go someplace that's so crowded that there's barely enough room to breathe! He then states he never finished his confession and tries to further explain, but the G-force of the train squashes both of them until they're forced to get off at the next station in Kiraisugi.
Once off the train, the duo are alone once again, making Usa-chan shudder in fear from loneliness. But Rentarou comforts her stating he won't let her be lonely anymore; he states his family is the most important thing to him and he realized how much she cared by complimenting the power of their love, thus he would go out with Usa-chan, begging her to fall in love with him. Rentarou adds that if she just wanted to "join the family" normally, he wouldn't have the right to date her and that he will work to get Usa-chan to fall in love with him likewise. Usa-chan feels ashamed about how much Rentarou did despite his current begging and kisses him on the platform, sealing the deal.
A short while later, Rentarou introduces Usa-chan to the Family properly; Karane states she saw this coming miles away. Naddy and Yamame admits with all the pretty words she said to them before, they have no right to turn her down as they all surround their new member, Usa-chan happily drowing in the crowd!
