I Swear on Your Home Run (
Summary[]
Ohananomitsu is on the bottom of their 9th inning and the score is currently nine to six with Jurassic in the lead. Thanks to everyone’s fury from Veloki insulting Shizuka, Rentarou’s family managed to score six points over innings 7 and 8, but if they get a one more out, they lose.
Kusuri steps up to bat and bunts Terano’s “Tyranno Cannon” perfectly thanks to her throwing the exact same fastball every time. She runs towards first base, but the Jurassic member placed there manages to pick up the ball before she can reach it. Kusuri is nearly tagged but her neutralisation drug wears off as she reaches the base, allowing her to shrink and narrowly miss the Jurassic members arm. The Jurassic member tries to complain but Kusuri is let off as her drugs don’t improve her performance. Hahari steps up to bat next and Hakari yells at her that if she does her best, Karane will give her a kiss on the cheek. Hahari pictures the scene as she bunts the ball and dashes towards the first base. As she’s running though, the weight of her boobs ruins her balance, and she falls to the ground. Her hands miss the base but her boobs lands on it, keeping her in. Shizuka steps up to bat and Veloki immediately assumes that Shizuka is too weak to hit the ball. Shizuka remembers what Rentarou told her and as Terano pitches the ball, changes her stance so she’s hugging the thick end of the bat. Rentarou comments that hugging the bat allows Shizuka to keep the bat stable and that precision doesn’t matter because “Tyranno Cannon” always goes towards the same spot. The ball bunts off the handle and Shizuka runs as fast as her small legs can take her towards first base. The Jurassic member on first base receives the ball but fails to tag Shizuka as her running towards the base makes her look like the Jurassic member’s dog that passed away the year prior, making tears well up in her eyes.
Veloki is frustrated that Ohananomitsu have managed to load all 3 bases but quickly gets her confidence back once she realises that Iku is next to bat. Iku gets ready to head to the batting box but as she starts walking, Rentarou grabs her hand because he noticed her shaking. He says that he’s noticed that she always smiles when playing baseball, except for when she’s in the batter’s box. She explains that whenever she steps in the batter's box, she gets flashbacks of when she injured a girl in the audience from a homerun she hit. Despite this, she claims that she’ll hit the ball no matter what, both for Rentarou’s family and the baseball club she vowed to protect.
In the batter’s box, Iku manages to hit the first two pitches, but her hesitation results in the two of them being called as fouls. For the third pitch, Terano throws her “Tyranno Cannon” in “full burst” mode again, as it’s the last pitch of the game meaning it doesn’t matter if she injures herself. Iku notices the throw and manages to hit the ball, but she trembles as hits it due to not having the strength to properly return it. The sheer force of the wind coming from the ball blows her clothes off down to her underwear. Iku’s arms begin to struggle when suddenly Rentarou calls out to her from outside the field, telling her to hit it his way as he swears to catch it. Rentarou’s words give Iku a second wind, allowing her to send the ball flying in his direction. The ball falls through the sky with the force of a meteor, landing in Rentarou’s glove. He trembles as he tries to catch it, vowing not let Iku suffer again. The sheer power of the ball creates an explosion, leaving the other players and audience in shock. When the dust cloud clears, Rentarou is stood in just his underwear, the ball safely in the glove. The referee calls a home run, and Ohananomitsu wins the match by one point. Rentarou’s family begin celebrating as Iku runs over to Rentarou. She begins to thank him but he interrupts her by panicking about her being in her underwear. To get across her feelings, Iku thanks Rentarou by kissing him and expressing her love.
