Utsukushisugi-senpai (美 (うつくし) 杉 (すぎ) 先 (せん) 輩 (ぱい)  Utsukushisugi-senpai) is the thirty-ninth chapter of the 100 Kanojo manga.

Summary

Rentarou is out scouting a mall as a possible date location when he overhears someone talking about how the mall isn’t as beautiful as them. He turns to look at them and when the two of them make eye contact, they zing—Rentarou’s 10th soulmate. She grabs his hand out of the blue and declares Rentarou as her lover. She introduces herself as Utsukushisugi Mimimi, a 2nd year from Rentarou’s school. Rentarou notices that Mimimi is a complete narcissist but before he can say anything, she drags him to the fashion corner of the mall so that he can dress in a way that’s suitable to be her lover.

The two of them sit in the mall and have a discussion over some boba tea, when Mimimi comments about how despite being so beautiful, she has been bested in the past. A couple sat at another table comment on Mimimi’s looks, but when Rentarou tries to retaliate, Mimimi stops him. She begins boasting about her beauty which angers the boyfriend in the couple, making him stand him and chuck his boba tea at her to ruin her beauty. Rentarou dives in front of her before the tea can hit her though, soiling his own clothes and protecting hers. After watching Rentarou’s reaction to the rest of the situation, Mimimi drops her narcissistic behaviour and confesses to Rentarou properly, saying that his heart is beautiful. He accepts and while she’s initially shook by the fact that he already has nine girlfriends, she quickly agrees to date him after she realises that she is girlfriend ten, a milestone number.

Nano and Shizuka happen to be shopping in the mall and bump into Rentarou and Mimimi. Rentarou tries to introduce them, but Mimimi interrupts him, stating that Nano was the one that bested her beauty previously. She refuses to be in a community with Nano but also refuses to hand Rentarou over to her, so she declares a beauty seeking contest between the two of them, with the loser being exiled, which Nano agrees to.

• Rentarou references Anpanman when Mimimi is talking about spilling boba on herself. Anpanman's weakness is water and other things that make him dirty.
• When Mimimi is boasting about herself, Rentarou states that some of her lines sound like lines from the characters Nausicaä and Princess Mononoke from the films Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and Princess Mononoke respectively.
• The ending page references the series Heidi, Girl of the Alps.
