Summary[]
Rentarou arrives at his Uncle Hiro’s house, where he has been asked to take care of his cousin. He rings the doorbell and Iin Chiyo answers it where they zing, his 12th soulmate. The two of them introduce themselves and Rentarou finds out about Chiyo’s obsession with keeping things tidy after he accidentally falls onto her and jumps backwards into a wall.
After sitting down inside, Rentarou immediately spills his tea over himself, and is forced into the shower by Chiyo. The hot water isn’t working however, making Rentarou freezing. To try and warm him up, Chiyo hugs him because there’s no other options she can use. Whilst she’s hugging him, Rentarou tells her that she doesn’t have to try so hard to be firm because she’s still only a 1st year in junior high school. She’s using all her energy to try and stand taller than she needs to be. Chiyo begins to internally question her feelings and Rentarou wonders if the two of them being in a relationship is even ok because they are cousins.
Suddenly, Chiyo’s glasses come flying off, making her burst into tears and confess that she likes Rentarou. While he’s trying to calm her down, Uncle Hiro appears and reveals that everything that has happened during the day was orchestrated by him. He wanted Chiyo to fall for and confess her feelings to Rentarou as he’s the only guy he’s willing to give her too. Rentarou however rejects Chiyo’s confession, as he believes that her confession wasn’t genuine due to Hiro’s interference. After thinking about Rentarou’s words, Chiyo speaks up and confesses properly to Rentarou, saying that her feelings aren’t because of her father’s influence. He accepts her confession the second time around, making Hiro ecstatic.
