Nozawa-Sensei Already Calls Hakari's Dad "Papari", So Should She Really Be Calling Kusuri's Dad "Papari" Too? (
Summary[]
Rentarou is spending some time with Kusuri: her father has finally asked to meet with him and he knows he has to be as sincere as possible to prove his love for the little genius. However when Kusuri calls out for her mom, Rentarou immediately worries: the last time he met a mother in the story, it was Hahari whom he "zinged" with immediately and he fears what could happen in if Mrs. Yakuzen could possibly match Hahari! However, Mrs. Yakuzen...turns out to be a small 8-year old who graciously asks Rentarou to come in...and whom Rentarou does not zing with. Mrs. Yakuzen worries seeing the panicked look on Rentarou's face as he braced for the potential "zing" that didn't happen before asking the obvious question: why is she so young like her daughter? Kusuri reveals she also took the failed "Immortality Drug" like her, surprising Rentarou as the "man of the house" finally appears to approach the guy "fifteen-timing" his daughter...and Mr. Yakuzen too is small, making the entire Yakuzen household a "Kusuri-vanyian Family"!
Mr. Yakuzen askss Rentarou his daughter his the most important thing in his life; Rentarou states yes, which makes the father respond that he needs to dump the other fourteen girls if she is as he grabs Rentarou by the collar stating that if Kusuri is his "number one", that's all he needs! Rentarou exclaims that all the girls are his "number one", making Mr. Yakuzen angrier before Kusuri tells them to come into her room if they want to roughhouse more. Mrs. Yakuzen offers tea and Rentarou shows a cake he brought as a gratitude as the four go inside.
Rentarou enters the Yakuzen's living room, filled with scientific equipment including a massive container filled with "Negation Drug", which constantly needs to be made due to all the dangerous drugs the family keeps; all while Kusuri shows off some explosives just left on their dinner table. Mr. Yakuzen reveals the family has been making drugs for generation and that Kusuri's mother and father met in a drug lab; Mrs. Yakuzen states the duo zinged when they met knowing they were made for each other, as Mr. Yakuzen adds in its something a "fifteen-timer" wouldn't understand. Mrs. Yakuzen reveals that the duo were so devoted to drug-making that she had children at a late age, being 55 years old now (even with her 8-year-old appearance) and that even Kusuri began developing drugs at 8 months, realizing that she was a genius from a young age and impressing Rentarou!
However without warning, Mr. and Mrs. Yakuzen collapse on the floor as Rentarou and Kusuri realize the tea has been drugged. Without warning, an agent emerges from the shadows, revealing himself as a pharmaceutical spy sent to abduct Kusuri and take her to an overseas laboratory to assist their research. His reasoning is that Kusuri's research can be used to assist in many multiple nefarious means including war, crime and money; and that he has the antidote to the poison and is willing to give it up if Kusuri surrenders to him. The genius agrees but Rentarou tries to stop her, the spy holding a gun to him to stop him; but Kusuri jumps up and down knowing the risk that if she's shot, then there's a possibility she'll die and he'll lose all she knows!
Trying to work out another way, Rentarou tells Kusuri to get closer to the table to help him get some of their drugs; he tries to reach them but the spy shoots them immediately breaking the vials. The spy resolves that if Ksuuri wants to be a human shield, then he can shoot a non-vital such as the leg to keep her alive. But Rentarou shields Kusuri instead; both the spy and even Kusuri are shocked by this and even Kusuri is resigned to going with the spy, but Rentarou reveals he refuses to let Kusuri's drugs be used to hurt people; that as troublesome as Kusuri's experiments have been, they've also created fun, happy and fond memories he wouldn't trade for anything and seeing Kusuri's drugs being misused would upset him. Kusuri understands the feelings though comments that her drugs have been misused by the likes of Hakari but Rentarou adds in it's fine. Panicking, Kusuri cries she doesn't want her drugs to be used for evil or for her parents to die before exclaiming that she loves Rentarou before leaping up and kissing him! The spy is shocked and continues to threaten with his gun, which Kusuri states that's obvious even with her sudden emotional display.
However as the spy threatens to use his gun one more time and finally shoots at them, the shot is blocked as a voice emerges from within a drug-covered cloud once again warning Rentarou about being a "fifteen-timer". Rentarou realizes the voice is Mr. Yakuzen, who states that he's been affected by the "Negation Drug", but there are some things that haven't been negated, revealing himself as a hulking brute in his full adult form! As the spy continues to shoot, Mr. Yakuzen reveals that Rentarou figured out how to stop the spy, having him shoot at the vials on the table but with the bullets still flying into the "Negation Drug" chamber spilling and thus reviving and restoring the Yakuzen parents. The spy keeps shooting but Mr. Yakuzen smashes him through the roof and out of their house! Kusuri is comforted by her re-transformed mother that the crushed spy is now "a star in the sky" as Rentarou states he knew that with the "Negation Drug", the spy's antidote wasn't going to be needed and thus it was a gamble he had to take. Mr. Yakuzen finally acknowledges Rentarou and his love for Kusuri, but refuses to let Rentarou call him "father-in-law" still believing him as a "fifteen-timer". As Rentarou catches up with the female Yakuzen, Kusuri hugs him stating that she's happy her parents like him as the two kiss.
As things calm down, Kusuri's grandmother appears having seen someone flying through the roof of the home as Kusuri introduces her to Rentarou...and without warning and with utter shock...Rentarou "zings" with her immediately!
