Summary[]
While hanging on the rooftop, Karane notices Ahko has a keychain for the mascot of a Fancy Goods store she frequents; Ahko compliments her knowledge of Fancy Good Stores before realizing through her hair and appearance that she may be a gyaru as well like her! Ahko asks Karane to go on a shopping trip with her, which the tsundere surprisingly accepts.
Karane and Ahko start heading to Fancy Good stores, looking through the merchandise and discussing aspects of their lives (including how both were surprisingly "Demon Slayer" fans and Karane read the entire manga and watched all the anime and movies and cried through them); while Karane continues to act tsundere about whether or not she thinks things are cute even as Ahko tries to push the idea that she should embrace when things are cute and not be antithetical.
Ahko continues to find cute things as Karane keeps being tsundere about taste when they're approached by four girls, who turn out to be the four friends who Ahko used to hang out with prior to meeting Rentarou. The quartet ask Ahko to hang out with them again, and she convinces Karane to come along with them. The six girls spend their time talking, eating crepes, hanging at the arcade, with Karane realizing that they're a completely different species from what she's used to. Ahko's former friends wonder why they stopped talking to her and admit that the gyaru acts distant and unapproachable and Ahko agrees that maybe this is for the best as Karane seems to become the distant one.
As the quartet leave them to go to the bathroom, Karane notes that Ahko's been acting like she's forcing to be with them since they showed up. Ahko states they used to be BFFs and there were friction, but she claimed it was always her fault and it kept happening until a wall formed between her and the four of them. Ahko claims they were looking for a chance to hang out with her again and the gyaru believed they hated her, yet they're acting like nothing's changed; but she doesn't know how to feel about it, even with her face having issues showing expression about the circumstances, even if Karane can pick up the real problem she has.
As the four friends return asking where to go next, Karane suddenly lashes out stating that Ahko shows how she feels with her face. The other girls seem confused by Karane reveals that they wrote her off with no care of ho Ahko felt and yet want to bring her back like nothing's happened, forcing them to say "I'm sorry" to Ahko before they do anything else for her! The girls don't get it and believe Ahko is the clueless one, seeing her as merely lonesome and trying to meet her halfway, but refusing to apologize for abandoning her. Karane grows angry at their words as Ahko sees her looking like "a wild gorilla" and states they're not like Rentarou. Retorting to the idea that her former friends were going to meet Ahko halfway, Karane declares that she's fully Ahko's BFF now and that they have no reason to be with Ahko so they should just leave! The quartet can't stand Karane's obnoxious declaration and decide to abandon their former friend with "the gorilla" telling her she'll never be welcome in their class again!
As things calm down, Karane tries to apologize but Ahko says it's alright since they hadn't spoken in a while, but thanks her for what she did. Karane still feels guilty for snapping but Ahko states it meant a lot to her. Mentioning about Ahko's issues with her facial expressions, Karane states she shouldn't think about it and that she's miles ahead of the tsundere in expressing herself in how she declares what's "cute" whenever she finds something she sees "cute". Ahko retorts that Karane is just as good with her tsundere expressions in expressing her feelings and she loves her for it; but also thanks her for what she helped her with; Karane shows some appreciation but holds it in as they decide to leave for some real fun after the incident.
As the duo leave, they find Ahko's former friends surrounded by the Gorilla Alliance; it turns out one of the girls yelled out "Gorilla Skank" and kicked one of their bikes leading to a declaration of war with them! (even if it was meant to be about Karane). The girls cry for help from Karane and the leader states that since they're friends with her, she'll just let them off with a warning; but Karane states they're not her friends while saying that "her precious friend" knows them. Leaving the fate of the quartet to Ahko as they plead to her, she tells the Gorilla Alliance to "do what they need to"; even Karane is shocked by Ahko's decision but the gyaru states she doesn't care what they say about her but is pissed off for them messing with Karane. Ahko's former friends continue to plead while Ahko compliments a charm by the Gorilla Alliance's leader. (though it's later revealed they were forgiven and they never cross paths with Karane or Ahko ever again)
