A Bard Knows All There is to Know ( (ぎん) (ゆう) () (じん) はなんでも () っている Gin'yū-Shijin wa Nandemo Shitte iru) is the ninety-fifth chapter of the 100 Kanojo manga.

Summary[]

Rentarou introduces Uto to the Family, but they're immediately confused when she calls herself a bard yet has an Ohananomitsu Middle School uniform; Uto merely states "the trip to school is an adventure in itself". Kishika wonders if Uto is lying about really is a bard, but Uto states that "lies and truths are all based on one's point of view and her point of view is to put her spirit above all else". Surprisingly both athletic members (Kishika and Iku) immediately believe her chivalry and determination as Uto continues on stating "it's true to those who believe it and untrue to those who don't"; when Hahari states that as "natural", Uto adds in "what is natural is very natural"; and when Mimimi claims she has no substance, Uto adds that what is substanceless can have rhetoric with how long life is; ultimately with Chiyo claiming Uto's just saying nonsense and Kusuri to straight out say she's a "Chuuni". Uto realizing Rentarou having 18 prior girlfriends alongside her is a spectacle but it lacks proof of Rentarou's charm, making all the girls embarrassed by these words. Yaku notices her ocarina and when Naddy asks if it's her skill, Uto states that it is a skill alongside the knowledge and information she gained as a bard, thus asks them to ask her any question and she will answer it, leading to a strange Q&A session between the family and the new girl:

  • Kusuri: How do you make the "Immortality Drug"?
    • Mix "Immortality Drug" with "Immortality Drug" for "Immortality Drug". (Kishika believes this is less of a bard and more a monk's saying)
  • Mei: How does she pay off her debt to Hahari before her life ends?
    • Drink the "Immortality Drug".
  • Shizuka: What is the most engaging book in the world?
    • "Where's Wally?" (also known as "Where's Waldo?" in the United States; due to being a book that everyone can read regardless of gender; Shizuka is motivated but Chiyo states there's no substance to the book.)
  • Yamame: How is world peace achieved?
    • Eradicate all living beings. (confusing Yamame about wanting peace but not wanting anything to die)
  • Meme: How do you cure shyness?
    • Live your life naked to remove all shame. (Meme thinks it's perverted and vanishes as Uto adds "nothing is so shameful as having no shame so keep your shame with you")
  • Kurumi: What is her favorite food?
    • Uto mentions the various means of craving including when thirsty, after eating curry or after eating and that food shifts from moment to moment based on circumstances, thus the answer is "All Food".
  • Karane: What did she eat that morning?
    • Food, perhaps. (leading to a tsundere reaction as Uto and her argue over the generic answer)
  • Kishika: What is the weather tomorrow?
    • It takes time so the answer will come tomorrow. (this peeves Kishika off with such an obvious answer as Uto adds there's no rushing anything in life and time can't be regained, making Kishika fall in defeat and forcing Rentarou to pamper her)
  • Nano: How many questions have she been asked so far.
    • 9
  • Naddy: How can she become a real American?
    • Change her nationality. (making Naddy panic about how Japan is still in her heart)
  • Iku: How can she put more effort in?
    • Making effort to work harder is an effort in itself.
  • Mimimi: What does Uto think about her beauty?
    • She is beautiful. (Naturally)
  • Ahko: What's the next viral thing?
    • Something to do with food, animals or some new sensation.
  • Yaku: Who will win the next sumo match between Hakuhou-Oh and Barugia?
    • She keeps the answer to herself since knowing removes the enjoyment of the match. (Karane is getting tired of Uto's act but Hakari states that adults know how to play along with her)
  • Chiyo: What should she have for dinner tonight?
    • Potato salad. (this makes Kurumi hungry and leads to Yamame and Mei making some for her during the next question)
  • Momiji: Can she grope her?
    • Do as she wishes.
  • Hahari: How does she handle her unstoppable sinful impulses?
    • Vent it in a non-criminal manner. (making Hahari pursue her daughter until Nano stops her)
  • Hakari: What is Rentarou's ideal type of woman?
    • Any type of woman. (they accuse him of being a "man-slut", but Uto adds that with the variety of girls around, he's naturally gifted at seeing the best in women.)

With the session complete, Uto presents a ballad about the "beauty of Rentarou's Family", singing a verse about each girl with her horrible music but appreciating how one-of-a-kind all of them are as they're together as a family.

As the song ends, Karane is offended about how terrible Uto's music is despite the cute spread, but Uto states "music isn't about the performance or technique but on leaving an impression". Rentarou states that he liked the song as Karane relents that she'll try to like it too.
