Manga and Anime Differences[]

  • At the beginning of the episode, scenes are added of Mimimi Utsukushisugi passing by the Rentarou family as they head to karaoke, and of the Gorira Alliance accompanying their leader and her boyfriend on a date.
  • In the manga, Rentarou starts off the karaoke session to help everyone ease in. In the anime, Karane and Iku start off the session with the Season 1 theme song.
  • When Hahari sings her song in the anime, her arm placement is much more suggestive than in the manga.
  • In the manga, Kusuri sings her song without props. In the anime, Kusuri is holding onto a plush Pentarou as she sings her song with a reference to go read the manga to find out who Pentarou is.
  • In the manga, Rentarou and Hahari are instantly blown away by Shizuka's cuteness when she starts singing. In the anime, Rentarou and Hahari are gradually blown away instead.
  • In the manga, Rentarou pays at the mall with an Japanese banknote that is illegible to the reader. In the anime, Rentarou pays with a Japanese banknote that clearly shows a 10,000 Yen denomination and the picture of the Love God's face on it.
  • In the manga, when Mimimi talks about how bubble tea helps make one face smaller and more beautiful, Rentarou thinks of Shizuka.
