The Quiet Princess, the Knight, and the Samurai (
Synopsis[]
One day, Rentarou visits the library and has a fateful encounter with Shizuka, a member of the library committee. She is small and quiet like a little animal and is not good at talking to people. She points to lines and phrases from her favourite book, which she has memorised, and asks the other person to read them so they can converse. The two become friends after Shizuka lends Rentarou her favourite book, but Shizuka feels troubled about the way she communicates and is unable to express her feelings for Rentarou. Rentarou sees this and decides to take action…

Manga and Anime Differences[]
- All of the Circlet Love Story scenes (with the exception of the confession) are unique to the anime.
- In the manga, Rentarou doesn't find Hakari and Karane in the library after talking to Shizuka - while in the anime, he does.
- When Shizuka's ID pass is shown to Rentarou, it no longer shows the year of issuance or Shizuka's birthday, while the high school is specifically identified as Ohananomitsu High School.
- In the manga, Shizuka removes volume two of Circlet Love Story from her bag before Rentarou notices it. In the anime, Rentarou notices the volume in her bag.
- The scene in which the librarian notices Shizuka's good mood (about Rentarou) is unique to the anime.
