Synopsis[]
Rentarou has a fateful encounter with Nano Eiai, who is studying by the classroom window. Despite her talent and beauty, Nano seeks efficiency in everything, even romance, which she dismisses as a waste of time. Rentarou tries repeatedly to get closer to her, but even casual conversations are dismissed as “meaningless”. Nano’s blunt attitude leaves Rentarou perplexed as to whether she really is “the one”, however, he is unwilling to give up and asks Nano out on a date…

- Rentarou has already left to get his phone when the episode begins. In the manga, it shows him walking to the results board, then the panel seen in the flashback plays and he leaves
- The scene of Nano being shown as a robot is original to the anime
