Himeka Saiki (
She is a professional singer, performing as a soloist, and is also a first year student at Ohananomitsu High School in Class 1-6.
Appearance[]
Himeka has long, dark purple hair, reaching past her shoulders to her upper back, and blue eyes. She is slightly shorter than Rentarou, and has a slim physique with a modest bust.
Befitting her status as a pop music superstar, Himeka has star-motifs in her design - both in her irises, and across her fringe, similar to a crown.
School Uniform[]
For someone so obsessed with being abnormal, Himeka wears her uniform quite modestly.
She wears the long-sleeved version of the uniform blouse, and wears a dark necktie instead of a ribbon. Himeka also usually does not wear the uniform blazer.
For accessories, Himeka wears black ear studs, shaped like four-pointed stars (similar to the motif in her eyes and hair). When out in public or on dates with Rentarou, Himeka usually wears round sunglasses to conceal her identity and avoid getting mobbed by her fans.
Personality[]
Himeka is a girl who acts in weird ways, such as planning to treat a wound with sparkling water and mascot stickers instead of disinfectant and bandages, using chopsticks upside down, or singing in the toilet for practice. She puts on a smug smirk as soon as she does something she claims to be 'abnormal.' She does these things on purpose to stand out and be popular, as she has been called a genius her whole life, which has led to her being dissatisfied with it now. However, since she's actually a sensible person, like her otherwise completely normal appearance suggests, her attempts at being abnormal end up making her look stupid instead of weird.
Himeka has the tendency to comment, in either envy or admiration, on the 'abnormality' of her fellow girlfriends, especially when they're first introduced to the Family.

Himeka is a singing prodigy, debuting as a professional soloist at a young age. She was so skilled, when her parents discovered her talent and enrolled her in a singing school, the instructor was moved to tears and said she had nothing left to teach her, encouraging her to sign a record deal. Himeka currently attends vocal coaching to improve on and maintain her singing technique.
Her preferred genre is popular music, with several albums released as CDs and as digital downloads. Himeka also uploads music videos on YouTube, and her live concerts also have significant viewership, with her fans looking out for her efforts to be eccentric - or, "abnormal", as she calls it.
Himeka has also tried singing in the enka style (at Yaku's suggestion), to rave reviews.[2]
Athleticism[]
Himeka is one of the more active members of Rentarou's Family, with one of her dates with Rentarou being at a sports amusement center (with bowling, basketball, and baseball).[3]
History[]
Since she was a child, Himeka has been hailed as a genius, a prodigy of song, a quality that has grown alongside her. Through being constantly showered in praise, she grew tired of being called a natural prodigy and wanted to be called something different; she wanted to become someone with an abnormal talent (奇才 kisai). After seeing famous artist Kenshi Yonezu wear high-heeled shoes in one of his music videos, she decided to try it in one of her concerts, which turned out to be successful and garnered more praise from the public. Since then, Himeka has been exhibiting unusual behaviors to be perceived as having an abnormal talent.
She first meets Rentarou when he is walking to the storehouse to do a favor to an injured teacher. To reach the storehouse, Rentarou had to walk past the rather abandoned women's toilet (as there was a new one in another part of the school). That's when he heard Himeka singing and got scared at first, as he thought it was related to an urban legend. However, after meeting Himeka and realizing she's his soulmate, Rentarou starts talking to her, and that's when he discovers her clumsy behavior is an act to make people perceive her as someone with an abnormal talent. However, before Rentarou can say anything else, Himeka says they can't be exactly together, as having a relationship with an ordinary high school student wouldn't be seen as weird and wouldn't make her stand out. However, right after that, the entire Judo Club appears to be in a stampede (due to being partially blinded by their sweat) and almost crashes into Himeka. That's when Rentarou intervenes and uses all the "power of love" he has to stop them. Luckily for him and Himeka, this works long enough for the Vice-Principal to suddenly appear and scare the Judo Club away. After this demonstration of love, Himeka finds out about Rentarou having more than 1 girlfriend (25 to be exact) and accepts his proposal of becoming his girlfriend. Thus, making her his 26th girlfriend.
Etymology[]
- Saiki (才奇) means "talent" (才)(sai) and "strange" (奇)(ki)
- Himeka (姫歌) means "princess" (姫)(hime) and "song"(歌)(uta). The kanji reversed in order (歌姫 Utahime) means Songstress or Diva.
- Her stage name Kiki (奇姫), takes the second kanji of her last name and the first kanji of her first name, literally meaning "strange princess" or "weird princess."

- Himeka has kissed and been kissed by Rentarou at least 5 times as of Chapter 180.
- Himeka's birthday, October 31st, is a play on words, spelling out the word for genius/talented (天才)(tensai). 10 from english "ten" and 31 making sa(3)i(1) with Goroawase.
- Her birthday also falls on Halloween, the day known for "weird" and "abnormal" occurrences that Himeka idolizes and aspires towards.
