It is known that Mimimi and Nano went to this middle school, two years before the beginning of the story both participated in the middle school beauty pageant, in which Mimimi sought to befriend Nano, the contest was won by Nano who refused to be friends with Mimimi.

At chapter 161, Nano and Mimimi were invited to attend the Mirei Cultural Festival. They bring back nostalgic memories of when they were in middle school. They tried several booths at the festival, until they stopped and saw a photo of a beauty pageant from 2 years ago at the photo club's display gallery booth. Then they entered a beauty pageant for the general category. Mimimi noted that their friendship is no more from this moment on. After they show off their beauty, Mimimi pulled Nano's hand and showed off their beauty together which made them both take first place in this contest. Mimimi feels that she should thanks to Nano for what she did. Mimimi continued to work together with Nano as friends and push their beauty to even to greater heights and Nano accepted her handshake.
