Nano Eiai (栄 (えい) 逢 (あい) 凪 (な) 乃 (の) , Eiai Nano^?) is a resident of a parallel world and is the counterpart of the real world Nano.

Appearance

She resembles of the real world Nano, with the difference being that they are 20 years gap in age, shorter hair, reaching more or less to the height of her cheeks.

Personality

Much like the real-world Nano, she is intelligent, calm, composed, and almost stoic, and is also obsessed with solving problems in the most efficient way possible no matter what. The fundamental difference is that she does not share her counterpart's appreciation of human connections, considering a life in which such things are valued as insignificant.

Due to this emotional disconnect and the extremely advanced technological level of her world, she has developed a Darwinistic and amoral way of thinking, having no qualms about altering other worlds to develop her own, uncaring of what her other counterparts think or how her actions may affect them.

Abilities

High Intelligence

She is arguably the most intelligent character in the manga so far, as aside from being a version of her counterpart, she also comes from an alternate universe that is scientifically far ahead of any other universe she claims to have visited.

Unparalleled Technology

She possesses the technology to travel between parallel worlds, and can synchronize them to her own world to advance them to a level that is close enough to her own to provide relevant scientific advances. This is achieved by erasing the involvement of an axis from reality and the brains of any living organism, leaving the axis as the only one that remembers what the world was like before the adjustment.

However, this technology seems to have its drawbacks, as she can only travel to the same parallel universe once, the synchronization seems to take several days to complete, and it seems that certain individuals can tell that something is not right with the new world. Rentarou sensed that something was not right with the way real world Nano acted, and subsequently reminisced about an event in the original world upon experiencing something similar in the new world, associating it with déjà vu.

History

At some point of her life, she discovered the technology to travel across the multiverse, deciding to use it to search for new scientific advances made in countless parallel universes and incorporate them into her own to make it more efficient. However, when those worlds proved to be insufficiently developed, she decided to synchronize them with hers so they would advance to a bare minimum of parity with hers and thus they could contribute to her goal.

While real world Nano is looking at a photo of her last date with the Rentarou Family, she arrives with the intention of doing the same in the main universe.

Her counterpart self in real world. When she reported her plans to synchronize her world with her, she found Nano Eiai's wish for her world to remain as it was incomprehensible and irrelevant.

• Her appearance resembles of Lan from Rinne no Lagrange.
• She is a clear representation of what real world Nano would have ended up becoming if she hadn't met Rentarou.
