Tomogara Saki (輩 (ともがら) 先 (さき) , Tomogara Saki^?) is a main character and Aijou Rentarou's 30th girlfriend. She is a repeated third-year student and shadow banchou/delinquent boss at Ohananomitsu High School.

Appearance

Saki is a short stature shadow delinquent girl with long sharp pink hair along with two shoulder-length bangs and one bangs on the front of her head, black forked eyebrows, and brown eyes with dark brown pupils. She wears a black gakuran cap, necklace, black half finger gloves, a black camisole that show her navel covered with a black gakuran robe with cherry blossom motif on the inside and a jade dragon painting with the words "Throughout heaven and earth, Saki (the eldest) alone is the senior (senpai) one" (天 (てん) 上 (じょう) 天 (てん) 下 (げ) 先 (さき) 我 (が) 先 (せん) 輩 (ぱい) , Tenjō tenge, Saki ga senpai^?) on the back. She also wears black gakuran trousers with a white waist belt and black high heeled boots that make her look tall.

Personality

Saki is a third-year repeated student who acts as the "shadow" delinquent boss, even dressing like one. She is the oldest enrolled student since she repeated her third year of school by her own choice since she enjoys boasting her "seniority" over the other people but she is also has high attitude with people who is older than her. She hates being looked down upon since she is notably shorter than Rentarou, but in fact, she is also a crybaby when she fails to maintain her reputation as the delinquent boss (like not being able to break up a fight between children) and easily feel painful which make her frail.

Abilities

Despite her attitude, Saki possesses such physical frailty that when she tried to intervene in a squabble between two elementary school students who were much younger and smaller than she was, Saki ended up being soundly defeated by both of them, accidentally.

Etymology

• The Kanji for her full name are those used for senpai (先 (せん) 輩 (ぱい) ) but in reversed position, paisen (輩 (ぱい) 先 (せん) ). This is a reference to the casual way to refer to an upperclassman.
  • Tomogara in Kun'yomi means "People/Generation" (輩 (ともがら) )
  • Saki means "Previous/Prior" (先 (さき) )

• Saki has kissed and been kissed by Rentarou at least 1 time as of Chapter 187.
• The writing on the back of Saki's gakuran robe is a reference to a famous word uttered by the Buddha at the time of his birth, "Throughout heaven and earth, I alone am the honored one" (天 (てん) 上 (じょう) 天 (てん) 下 (げ) 唯 (ゆい) 我 (が) 独 (どく) 尊 (そん) , Tenjō tenge, yuiga dokuson^?).
